What is Medicare?
Medicare is a Health Insurance Program offered by the Federal government for: People age 65 or older; people under age 65 with certain disabilities; and people of all ages with End-Stage Renal Disease (permanent kidney failure requiring dialysis or a transplant). Medicare has Four Parts: A, B, C and D.
-
Medicare Part A covers hospital bills and inpatient hospital services, hospice care, and home health care.
-
Medicare Part B is optional coverage for physician care as well as laboratory tests, physical therapy or rehabilitation services, and ambulance service. Medicare Part C is also called Medicare Advantage.
-
Medicare Part C is also called Medicare Advantage. Part C is an optional Medicare health plan offered by private companies approved by Medicare. Medicare Advantage Plans will provide all of Part A and Part B coverage, and may provide extra coverage for vision, hearing, dental, and/or health and wellness programs.
-
Medicare Part D is a prescription drug option run by Medicare-approved private insurance companies.
Medicaid
Orsini accepts Medicaid.
What is Medicaid?
Medicaid is a Health Insurance Program offered by the Federal government for individuals and families with low incomes and few resources. Primary oversight of the program is handled at the Federal level, but each state establishes its own eligibility standards, determines the type, amount, duration, and scope of services, and administers its own Medicaid program.
Commercial Insurance
Orsini maintains contracts with most major payor sources (insurance plans). For specific information about which companies are contracted in your area, please give us a call.
